Are you ready to take on a challenging role as a Management Accountant? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our client's dynamic team in the construction industry. As the sole person responsible for finance within the business, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of the organisation.



Key responsibilities:



  • Utilise your expertise with Sage 50 on a daily basis to manage the financial operations of the business.

  • Prepare monthly and annual management accounts, including variance analysis and performance reports.

  • Develop and monitor Cash Flow Forecasts, analysing financial performance against budgets and forecasts.

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and support periodic forecasting processes.

  • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.

  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practises in management accounting.

  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and manage transactional accounts.

  • Complete VAT returns accurately.

  • Manage payroll duties, including C I S and PAYE.

  • Oversee HR duties such as annual leave, sickness, and preparing contracts and offer letters.

  • Manage the pension scheme and benefits for employees.

  • Ensure compliance with accreditation documentation, working alongside Health & Safety Consultants.



The ideal candidate will have:



  • Previous experience using Sage software.

  • CIMA or ACCA qualification would be ideal, although not essential.

  • Previous experience within the construction industry would be an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail skills to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

This is a permanent, full-time position with working hours of Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, along with parking on site and a range of benefits including 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical insurance after 1 years' service, and a pension scheme.
