JOB TITLE: Logistics Operative


LOCATION: Wellington, Somerset


HOURS: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday


SALARY: £18,000 - £23,000 PA DOE

THE ROLE: Working alongside one other person in the warhouse, your key focus will be the efficient processing of customer orders in a timely manner.


KEY DUTIES:



  • Goods in duties to include container/lorry unloading, checking against purchase orders and safe storage of stock.

  • Order processing duties to include picking, packing and careful, efficient and accurate despatch of goods in accordance with Customer Service team instructions.

  • Stock control with careful recording of stock movements and regular continuous stocktaking.

  • Help to complete in-house move of eCommerce business including repacking of certain terms on a shrink machine, preparation of stock transfers to Amazon and web shop orders.

  • Consistent collection of Proof of Deliveries (PODs) from contracted carriers to ensure billing by Customer Service team.

  • Work closely with warehouse team colleagues, Customer Service and Sales team to aim for continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency, order processing speed and ultimately customer satisfaction.


THE CANDIDATE:


First and foremost you will need to have prior warehouse experience and be physically fit to be able to handle the heavy lifting aspect of the role. You will also need to be a clear communicator and work well in a small team. A hard working nature and positive work ethic is a must! You will need to be comfortable with some computer work - for example, data entry and updating the system in terms of stock. To achieve the higher end of the salary bracket you will need to have a Forklift Truck Licence.
