9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

25 days annual holiday + bank holidays, contribution to pension, parking on site, friendly team environment

My client, a professional, friendly and reputable company based in Grays, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator / Administrator to join them on a 9-12 month maternity contract. Experience within logistics is not required but you must have strong administration skills, excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask.

You will be responsible for:

  • Taking orders from customers and managing internal stock transfers

  • Managing incoming calls and emails

  • Ensuring a high level of service to customers, ensuring they are happy with service and future requirements

  • Coordinating work load through haulage contractors ensuring service level agreements are met

  • Adding to current list of hauliers ensuring they are cost effective, compliant and work with agreed payment terms

  • Quarterly reporting on haulage spend and best value

  • Assisting within the internal sales teams, taking inbound calls and providing quotations

  • Assisting within other departments when required
