Job Details:

  • Litigation Team Assistant

  • £25,000 - £28,000* Depending on experience

  • City of London

  • 9:30am - 5:30pm (Flexible)

Job Spec:

  • Support partners, solicitors, paralegals, and a trainee in a busy litigation department

  • Assisting in the setting up and running of files, carefully and accurately following instructions

  • Checking emails and letters

  • Answering, and making telephone calls,

  • Preparing bills and managing the firm's document management system

  • To prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing. Format, paginate, number and present documents in the format required.

  • Book in appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for the fee-earners.

  • Booking and organising travel

  • Supporting the team and training the junior within the department

  • Ad hoc admin and office support


  • Ideally 1-2 years' experience in similar role and/or exposure to Litigation role

  • Perfect for a second jobber looking to step up and gain more responsibility

  • Audio typing, electronic case management, good Microsoft Office skills, form filling, court document filing etc. extremely beneficial and ideal

  • Self-motivated, confident, outgoing

  • Communication skills both verbal and written including attention to detail

  • Ability to use initiative, organisation, multitasking skills

  • General administration skills

  • Able to work towards tight deadlines

  • Well-presented and well mannered.
