9AM -5PM - Mon - Fri (Including 1 hour lunch break)

£21,000 - £23'000 plus benefits depending on experience 20 days holiday plus public holidays

Our client based in Lincoln is looking for a Litigation Executive/Legal Executive to join their busy team. Do you have a good understanding of Civil Litigation is essential though with knowledge of the Courts and defending civil claims? If so, Office Angels wants to hear from you.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training on the subject will be provided. Exposure to/understanding of Civil Litigation is essential though with a good understanding of the Courts and defending civil claims.

The successful candidate will act as the First Line of Defence (FLoD) with a team of claims handler's. Assessing their completed legal work and checking the following actions to ensure the Team have acted in line with current Laws and Regulations;

  • Section 8 Notice Seeking Possession

  • Section 21 Notice Requiring Possession

  • Issuing Possession Claims Online

  • Accelerated Applications

You will also be the legal referral point for the Team in respect of Legal matters and provide general advice on;

  • Money Claims

  • Charging Orders

  • Bankruptcy

  • Attachment of Earnings

  • Control of Goods

You will oversee the routine cases and ensure systems of work are adhered to, deal with legal enquiries from staff relating to cases and assist with the running of defended cases when required in liaison with the Head of Legal at the Lincoln office. They will report direct to the Head of Legal on systems of work and legal matters.

The successful applicant will spend up to three weeks training at our clients Sussex office, accommodation will be provided and travel reimbursed for weekends home. Thereafter, the candidate will be stationed in Lincoln for assimilation training and thereafter take over the role.

Essential Qualifications;

The successful candidate will have completed a law degree and either have experience working within a similar role in a legal environment or most preferably hold an LPC or Cilex Level 6 qualification.

Copies of certificates will be required to be produced at interview.
