Office Angels have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Executive/Administrator to join our client in Edinburgh City Centre. This is a permanent role, working Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm, with a salary of £25,000 - £30,000.

Our client is looking to recruit an individual to undertake a range of technical and administrative tasks within a small professional legal firm in the City Centre. Providing support to the principal fee earner. Previous experience within a legal environment would be advantageous but not essential as appropriate training will be given.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Contacting other professionals such as mortgage lenders, planning officers or other lawyers on behalf of clients

  • Communicating with clients directly and explaining matters to them in a clear and understandable way

  • Professional telephone manner and the ability to take messages effectively and efficiently

  • Formatting complex documents

  • Good understanding of tracked changes to ensure integrity of tracking

  • Emailing including attachments

  • Archiving and day to day office admin and reception duties

  • Check the diary to plan for the day ahead

  • Respond quickly and professionally to emails

  • Prepare documents

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous administration/secretarial experience

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

  • Patience, tact and discretion

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Reliable research skills

  • The ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise

  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time to time

  • Good administrative competence including:

    • Accustomed to working with templates

    • Stationery monitoring and ordering

  • A good range of strong technical PC and IT skills including using a variety of software packages such as:-

    • Adobe Acrobat

    • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Outlook)

    • Using Windows 10.

    • Typing including audio typing accurately and efficiently
