Job Details:

  • Legal Cashier (FTC)

  • 6-month Fixed Term Contract (View to go permanent)

  • £30,000 - £32,000* Depending on experience

  • ASAP Start

  • 9:00am - 5:30pm

  • City of London (Hybrid working)

Job Spec:

  • Purchase ledger - coding and posting invoices; filing invoices; reconciling supplier statements

  • Managing invoices and credit cards

  • Petty cash

  • VAT - ensuring compliant with HMRC regulations

  • Expenses and disbursements chargeable to our clients.

  • Ensure that the Purchase Ledger is accurately maintained, and processing deadlines

  • Making sure payment dates are always met

  • To ensure suppliers (trade suppliers, counsel, Partners) are paid in accordance with agreed terms and conditions,

  • To support with monthly billing cycle by providing support to the Revenue team when required

  • General Finance administration support for the Finance team

  • Regular filing of all documentation

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within a legal cashier or accounts payable role within the Legal sector is essential

  • Basic understanding of VAT and SRA Rules

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work to daily weekly and monthly deadlines

  • Strong IT capability in particularly Excel and accounting software

  • High proficiency in Excel, PIVOT tables and data analysis

  • Logical, organised, and good with numbers
