JOB TITLE: Junior Contracts Manager

LOCATION: Wincanton, Somerset

HOURS: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

SALARY: £29,000 - £36,000 PA DOE

THE COMPANY: A growing and leading water feature and irrigation specialist, producing and installing projects from corporate, municipal and private clients across the UK and Ireland.

THE ROLE: You will be responsible for the day-day running of contracts across the South & South East of the country. Industry specific in-house training will be provided.


  • To ensure the successful running of contracts which includes delivery of mechanical & electrical works on time and in line with agreed site programme.

  • To ensure and oversee all safety measures are in place and adhered to such RAMS are signed, toolbox talks and accident reports are carried out.

  • Plan and allocate labour in line with site requirements.

  • Actively engage in regular discussions with Site Managers, Build Manager and Quantity Surveyors.

  • Ensure workmanship standards are kept, maintained and work is installed to the correct spec.

  • Ordering project specific materials and coordinating delivery to site.

  • Preparation of project specific health & safety paperwork.


The successful person will have extensive experience dealing with contracts within the construction industry and have excellent knowledge of mechanical or similar trades and Health & Safety. You will be ready for the next step in your career and be keen to progress into a managerial position with a supportive and growing company. You will need to be motivated and extremely organised with good time management, IT and people skills.
