START: ASAP - willing to wait notice period

SALARY: £25,000-£30,000

A bit about the company & role:

Our client is seeking a Junior Business Development Specialist to join their collaborative and supportive team! They are an international company who are seeking a confident and personable individual to embark on a career with them. This is an entry level role, so no previous experience is necessary -they are looking for graduates or individuals with a strong academic background!

They are an entrepreneurial, and energetic team of 50 talented interior designers. This role allows you to work intimately with the 3 members of the Business Development team, they are sociable, friendly, and ambitious. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to start an exciting career in the City of London!


  • Implementing the local research strategy to identify and win clients

  • Daily news flash to BD and operations team

  • Weekly review of new research leads at BD team meetings

  • Calls to new leads and potential clients

  • Collaborating across disciplines to drive team performance for handovers

  • Targeting and filtering opportunities

  • Providing additional research support for BD team research/qualified leads as needed

  • Delivering fresh approaches to identify and attract clients

  • Collaborating and supporting global business development opportunities


  • Personable and hardworking individual with excellent organisational and strong work ethic

  • An effective communicator who is resilient with a confident working attitude

  • A professional and proactive individual works well under pressure, uses their initiative and can work effectively in a demanding environment

  • The ability to effectively multitask, prioritise and hit the ground running

  • Excellent relationship-building skills, reliability and adaptability are key

  • An understanding of business development, sales strategies, and research techniques

  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages, and advanced IT skills are essential

  • Familiarity with marketing/sales databases and CRM programs
