We have a marvelous client who is looking to invest time in a superb 1ST line IT, Support Administrator. This well-established, rewarding company would be a fantastic place for stability and someone who wants to be hands-on and make this role their own. The working hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.



To be successful as the 1st line IT Support Administrator you will need to drive, we have listed some of the duties below:



Main Duties:




  • Remove tapes from the tape drives and deliver to the reception in a timely manner

  • Check and replenish printers, making sure toners are replaced

  • Ensure that calls and e-mails to the IT Helpdesk are recorded correctly and resolved

  • Check stock levels and raise PO orders as required, using Excel to document your findings

  • Archive emails from automatic accounts weekly and monthly

  • Install and configure PC's printers, laptops and any other devices requested

  • Receive new equipment label and document in the Asset Register

  • Resolve any general problems that users are having

  • Plan and carry out moves, relocation's and documentation necessary

  • Set up meeting rooms when required

  • Arrange for equipment scrapping, using systems to update the register once completed

  • Create and amend log-ins and profiles for both windows and iSeries

  • Restore data from backups as required

  • Acquire and maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of specific IT subjects

  • Assist the other members of the IT section in the deployment of upgrades and project installation

  • Provide training, documentation, support, and administration of applications and associated hardware/software where appropriate

  • Provide day to day administration of user accounts

  • Operations Support with warehouse systems working through defects, updates or automation that can be done to drive efficiency and process



Special Factors:




  • The nature of the work will involve the post holder working if required on Weekends during times of major upgrades or if a major incident has occurred.

  • The post holder will be required to participate in providing cover until 5:00 pm each day via a support rota.

  • The post-holder may be required to attend training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by his/her training needs and the needs of the service.

  • Expenses, overtime, and standby will be paid by the Local Conditions of Service prevailing at the time.
