Inventory Manager
London bridge | Immediate Start | 6 Month FTC (potential to be extended or go permanent)
£38,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hybrid working 2 or 3 days in office | Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inventory Manager to join a successful, fast-operating education and qualifications company based in London Bridge. This is a great opportunity to work within a fun and friendly team supporting a leading organisation. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the role's primary focus will be to manage the purchasing of company published educational materials as well as their storage across 5 third party logistic providers based in London, Netherlands, Washington DC, Singapore, and China. The role will play a key role in the continued development of stock management and associated accounting processes across both the company and the new subsidiaries in Honk Kong and USA
Job Responsibilities
Management:
- Responsible for managing our global network of third-party logistic providers:
O Maintain strong relationships with warehouse managers and arrange regular review meetings
o Management movements of stock between warehouses to fulfil demand
o Oversee/manage regular stock takes in line with audit requirements
o To manage the purchase and receipt of stock ensuring all goods received notes are recorded and that sufficient stock levels are maintained always whilst purchasing in economic quantities and keeping write-offs to a minimum
o Manage disposal process of all obsolete stocks
- Keep up to date with changes in international trade and shipping regulations. Advise Finance Director and Senior Management on upcoming challenges and/or risks and take appropriate actions
- Responsible for managing company suppliers of printed educational materials:
O Liaise with internal Product Development team to ensure stock is ordered in line with qualification updates and changes
O Work closely with external suppliers to ensure that purchasing patterns are optimised to secure availability and best price
o On a regular basis assess stock levels against fluctuating levels of demand and maintain/develop the demand planning model to protect against stock outs
o Provide insightful reporting to Senior Management on stock/sales to aid business decision making.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience of and interest in inventory management
- Analytical approach to work
- High numeracy problem-solving skills and initiative
- Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
- Proficient in MS Office Package, with Intermediate knowledge of Excel
- Experience of using NetSuite
- Experienced in working with ERP/Finance systems to manage stock/inventory
