MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


To perform a comprehensive Human Resources support function, performing HR and engineering recruitment tasks for the HR Administration Hub staff and managers.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



  • HR matters

  • first point of contact for HR queries by phone and via the HR Services mailbox

  • ensuring the maintenance of up to date and accurate computerised and hard copy HR records in line with GDPR legislation

  • dealing with all correspondence that comes through via the HR Services mailboxes in line with agreed SLAs

  • Processing of new starters on the system, ensuring that they are updated on the system in line with payroll deadlines.

  • dealing with all day to day administration of HR employee services

  • facilitating HR projects as required

  • ensuring the maintenance of and timely and accurate issue and return of travel passes

  • ensuring that all stages of the induction process are completed in line with Company procedures

  • dealing with all correspondence concerning employees who have left, including the provision of fair and accurate references

  • facilitating internal and external transfers of drivers and engineers including processing of new starters and TUPE routes

  • providing the relevant data and facilitating the administration tasks involved with the Long Service Awards and presentation evening

  • helping to administer the Driving licence audit by facilitating booking of medicals

  • administering the annual night shift worker assessments

  • dealing with all administration for new entrant staff and staff leaving the company

  • overseeing and administering the debtors process

  • day to day administration of HR employee services, HR projects, employee engagement and other employee interaction as required

  • Recruitment Matters

  • assisting with the recruitment and selection of engineering candidates for all vacancies, issuing contracts and offer letters

  • General tasks

  • producing weekly and monthly reports as required by managers, maintaining the various computer databases


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


This role requires:



  • confidence, flexibility and adaptability

  • the ability to work on a number of priority projects at the same time

  • a team player, who is approachable and must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative


Applicants should be able to demonstrate:



  • A high level of administrative expertise in previous roles

  • Intermediate experience in MS Office programmes and particularly Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V-lookups, formulas

  • Organisational experience
