Job Title: HSEQ Coordinator


Salary: £50k - £60k + 10% performance bonus


Location: Folkestone, Kent with travel required to the London office and occasional travel to France


Hybrid: Yes, 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home


Duration: 1 year contract however as the business grows Permanent opportunities become available


Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week. Your new Manager is really flexible when you work your hours, start and finish times.

Job Overview:


In this position you'll report directly to the HSEQ Manager and you'll be working with both the Corporate Team in London and the Operational Team based in Folkstone. The HSEQ Manager said they "really like working there, it's new, exciting, you'll be working with great people and you can really make a difference".


You'll be responsible for advising and supporting management on all safety, health, environment and welfare matters to ensure the company and its contractors comply with statutory requirements and any associated company policies or procedures.


In addition, you will provide support to the HSEQ Manager in the development and implementation of the Company's Corporate Management Systems and their obligations towards Health, Safety and wellbeing of personnel.


As the HSEQ Coordinator your key responsibilities will be:

Skills required:



  • Proven background within site based HSE for a large construction/engineering company or similar industry

  • Some knowledge of HSE legislation and good Operational management practices

  • Membership of an HSE professional association or institute (e.g. IOSH or equivalent professional body)

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Auditing skills and report development

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate (Ideally Diploma), or ability to demonstrate equivalent qualifications and experience.

  • Working knowledge of French safety practices an advantage
