The Project Analyst's role is to produce, analyse, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders to ensure that requirements and processes are fully understood and clearly documented. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to understand the technology solutions they need. You will also apply proven communication, critical, and problem-solving skills to help the business make good technology choices.

This JML Project is part of the company's Operational Excellence Programme - improving the way they work now and developing new tools and ways of working that will simplify things for their people and keep them at the forefront of their industry.

JOB TITLE: HR Project Analyst

COMPANY: Construction

CONTRACT: Temporary - 6 month FTC


LOCATION: Liverpool Street

SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000

  • Collaborate with project sponsors to shape project scope and vision including business change.

  • Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, work-flow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.

  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.

  • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritise collected requirements.

  • Review accuracy of existing 'As Is' JML process documentation

  • Document the actual As Is JML process​

  • Review and re-engineer where possible to deliver quick wins​

  • Communicate JML processes, roles and responsibilities, and related policies

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of employee life-cycle (JML) activities and related data and process flows between key stakeholders, systems and areas of the business e.g. employee, line manager, HRIS, HR and IT including account management etc.

  • Previous experience as an HR Business Systems Analyst or maintaining HR systems is desirable.

  • Previous experience in HR administration and user of HR systems is desirable.

  • Experience of working on an HRIS implementation project is desirable.

  • Strong understanding of core business or organisational process and operations.

  • Strong understanding of change management in a business context.

  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, process mapping, modelling, verification, and methodology development.

  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst in an IT department (understanding and awareness of systems, software and cloud-based solutions) is desirable.

  • Experience of working in construction industry is desirable.

  • Software experience: Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills; able to juggle competing priorities and take the appropriate course of action.

  • High Attention to detail in all areas of their work

  • An adaptable and flexible outlook, whilst also maintaining a level of resilience in their attitude

  • Ability to work well with others across the business - a "Team Player"
