HR Manager

Supporting the team in the development of leadership and people management skills and the implementation of a coaching culture among leadership.


Advise, guide, coach and support the Manufacturing Director in adopting best HR practice across the site and ensure policies, procedures and practices confirm to current employment legislation.


Ensure HR policies are followed and applied pragmatically supporting both manager and employee throughout. This includes disciplinary, grievances, capability etc.


Ensure the payroll is run effectively and be involved in monthly checks.


Facilitate the use of best practice employee relations to minimise cost, including absenteeism, redundancies, disciplinary processes, grievances and employment tribunal claims, ensuring processes are followed in line with current policies


Provide leadership and guidance on recruitment, sourcing and selection for the site looking at how the employer brand can be harnessed to attract talent in the area


Be a key stakeholder in the creation of the HR people strategy.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience:



  • Degree level education or equivalent

  • CIPD qualified with broad HR experience at leadership team level in unionised environments

  • Experience in dealing with all aspects of HR practice

  • Employment law knowledge

  • Experience of managing and developing a team of people

  • Coaching experience
