Job Title: HR Officer

Salary: £30-£30k pa

Location: Roehampton

You will be the first point of contact for employee relations queries from the Line Managers. You will be involved with advising and guiding the Managers in dealing with ER issues and attending meetings when necessary.

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:



  • Be the first point of contact for all ER queries from the Managers

  • Visit staff/services to deal with ER issues (such as investigations, disciplinary, grievance, long term sickness absence, etc)

  • Deal directly with ER queries through providing advice and guidance to the Managers and drafting/sending formal correspondence

  • Provide cover for ER visits to locations as required

  • Work on employee related projects as directed by the Head of HR and/or Operations Director

  • To handle resignations and responsible for exit interviews work with Administrators on employee related queries

  • Represent HR at Managers meetings

  • To work with the recruitment provider to ensure the quality of recruits and effectiveness of the recruitment process

  • To provide regular management information on individuals and employees - e.g. report on turnover, new hires, employee issues, etc

  • Assist in preparing the HR budget

  • To work closely with payroll as required and other ad hoc related work

  • To be responsible for compliance with HR legislation

  • Beneficial if you have knowledge of the DBS process and safeguarding



Skills and Experience Required:



  • Have previous experience in an HR role with specific ER experience a good understanding of employment legislation and best practice

  • Excellent written communication skills, especially in relation to writing to employees

  • Confidence to offer opinions and alternative courses of action

  • Good interpersonal skills at all levels

  • Ability/willingness to keep up-to-date with changes to employment regulations
