Are you an experienced HR professional who loves developing people, building capability, and helping businesses thrive through talent and learning?


We are re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Generalist with a strong Learning & Development focus to join a leading and dynamic organisation in Grays. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining broad HR responsibilities with the rewarding challenge of driving learning, development, and workforce capability initiatives.


Working across a fast-paced operational environment, you will partner with managers and leaders to support employee development, strengthen organisational capability, and create a culture where people can learn, grow and succeed.


What You Will Be Doing


As a key member of the HR team, you will be responsible for a varied role that combines people support, learning & development, performance improvement, and stakeholder engagement.


Your responsibilities will include:


✅ Partnering with managers to identify skills gaps, development needs and workforce capability requirements.


✅ Supporting employee performance, development planning and talent initiatives.


✅ Leading Learning & Development activities, from training needs analysis through to programme delivery and evaluation.


✅ Managing and coordinating compliance and mandatory training programmes.


✅ Overseeing learning administration, training schedules, bookings and learner communications.


✅ Supporting apprenticeship programmes and professional development pathways.


✅ Producing HR and learning reports, analysing data and identifying opportunities for improvement.


✅ Managing relationships with external training providers and learning partners.


✅ Driving continuous improvement projects and helping to embed a culture of learning across the business.


✅ Coaching, supporting and developing two Learning & Development Coordinators.


What We Are Looking For


We are keen to speak with candidates who have:



  • Previous experience within a HR Generalist, L&D, Talent Development or People Development role.

  • Experience supporting managers and stakeholders across a business.

  • Knowledge of performance management, employee development and workforce planning.

  • Experience coordinating and delivering training programmes.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience using HR and/or Learning Management Systems.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for developing people.


Qualifications


Essential



  • CIPD Level 3 qualified (or equivalent experience).

  • Ongoing commitment to professional development.


Desirable



  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.

  • Learning & Development, Coaching or Training qualifications.

  • Experience within logistics, transport, manufacturing, engineering or operational environments.
