HR Director

HR Manager
Up to 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, bonus, 3% pension

We are currently recruiting for an HR Director to join a well established business based in Orpington. This exciting new role is managing a team of 7 and working closely with an HR Assistant who has been in post for some time.

We are looking for an experienced individual who can focus on strategic planning, work closely with department heads and to maintain HR best practices, employee relations and staff engagement.

Key duties of this role:

  • Heading up the HR department and team, building a close rapport with the HR Assistant to continue and improve existing processes and procedures

  • Management of Administration team

  • Develop and implement HR actions plans

  • Managing onboarding of top talent, ensuring to put in place a clear recruitment plan for new starters and maintain the status of an employer of choice in the area

  • Assist with maintaining and implementing HR policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations

  • Assist with remuneration decisions and ensure consistency of approach and fairness across the board

  • Manage development, training, performance management and career progression processes providing information, data and guidance to the management committee to enable effective planning and decision making

  • Development plans for staff engagement, wellness and retention strategies

  • Provide reporting from HR systems and provide analysis as necessary identifying areas of concern and guidance on solutions

  • Provide guidance to the managing partner and heads of department on HR related issues including exploring opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness

The successful candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic and a people person. An ability to work at a high level to assist with developing strategy but also being very hands on as working within a small team.

For this role you will need to be Level 5 CIPD qualified (or above) or equivalent.

On offer is a salary of £45K, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, rising to 28 days after 1 year. There is a bonus each year at the company's discretion. The company contribute 3% to pension, and the employee can contribute up to 5%. There are regular social events when based in the office, a learning schedule to support with your development and a discount of services is applicable after a length of service.

This role will offer flexibility in working from home / office.
