Office Angels are currently recruiting for a proficient Administrator to work on behalf of one of our clients within the education sector. The successful applicant will work on a variety of interesting and challenging HR issues in a fast-paced, dynamic department. Interpersonal skills are key in this role, so you must be able to demonstrate your willingness to be involved in a diverse range of HR tasks to ensure a customer-focused HR service for this busy department.

Duties will include:

  • Producing timely and accurate contractual offer letters for permanent and temporary members of staff

  • Providing efficient and effective administrative support to the HR team

  • Supporting with staff recruitment processes and procedures, preparing paperwork related to the working lifecycle of all staff, arranging meetings and HR events, helping coordinate HR processes within the department, and researching information as and when required

  • Collecting, recording and monitoring HR information, including staff absences, starters and leavers, probationary and annual reviews and vacancies

  • Providing generalist HR support for first line queries from managers, staff and external stakeholders including members of the public

  • Coordinating and ensuring HR processes such as probation for non-academic staff members are being completed and accurate records are kept

  • Maintaining digital staff files and applicant information

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Experience of working within the Education sector (desirable)

  • CIPD level 3 qualification or working towards the qualification (desirable)

  • Experience within a HR environment (desirable)

  • Experience of working in an administrative role within a busy customer-focused team

  • Excellent IT skills and ability to use MS Office applications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels

  • Ability to deal confidentially with sensitive issues.

  • Excellent organisational skills, including planning and prioritising to meet deadlines

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to manage own workload and use initiative

Your working hours will be 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm & Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm. Hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home) will be available to you following a training period.
