HR Advisor- 3 Months

HR Advisor- 3 Month (Maternity Cover)
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm (with the option of working 1 day from home)
£14 - £15 per hour
Romford, Essex

We have fantastic opportunity for a HR Advisor to cover a 3 Month Maternity cover role.

This role is to provide advice and guidance on the recruitment of new staff, retention of existing employees and management of exiting employees.

You will be Involved in managing employee relations and performance management, responsible for anything to do with HR, ensuring policies are consistent and HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably.


  • Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business

  • Processes Engineer & Office Payroll on a weekly basis

  • Dealing with all Parking Charge Notice's and Speeding Fines

  • Reviewing, maintain and identify training and development needs and updating training on inhouse system

  • Deliver and evaluate the HR elements of the performance management cycle

  • Reviewing and updating job descriptions

  • Training hiring managers on candidate interview evaluation techniques

  • Assisting with and developing recruitment campaigns

  • Coordinating the onboarding process for successful applicants

  • Coordinating the offboarding process for leavers

  • Co-ordinating the probationary process in conjunction with line managers for new starters

  • Monitoring key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates

  • Negotiating terms and conditions of employment with staff

  • Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes

  • Using HR Sharepoint to access, input and compile data

  • Carrying out annual learning needs analysis

  • Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations

  • Researching and recommending performance evaluation methods

  • Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation

  • Supporting the HR Consultant with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary

  • Organise employee engagement initiatives such as employee social events

  • Driving the business performance in relation to the organisation's objectives

  • Assisting in organising employer branding initiatives

  • Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees, and the HR Consultant


  • Excellent Interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail, ensuring all work is finished to the highest standards

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients, colleagues and management
