Calling all Administrators with an interest in HR! Are you looking to gain more experience of working in Human Resources?


Office Angels are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator, to join our client who is based close to Wessington Way in Sunderland, on a fixed term contract basis.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very busy internal HR team, who is going through an exciting time of growth and expansion.



  • The role is 12 months, fixed term contract, however, could be made permanent thereafter!

  • Full-time hours, Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM, some flexibility can be offered

  • Salary: Circa. £19K starting salary, with a salary increase in April 2023

The Role:


The role of HR Administrator will play a critical role in providing exceptional and professional support to the full HR team and wider business.


You will be responsible for:



  • Monitoring the HR email inbox, responding to staff queries, or forwarding on to relevant HR team member

  • Managing internal HR system, adding new starters, leavers, holiday, sickness information

  • Responsible for the end-to-end processes for new staters, leavers and contractual changes

  • Scanning and filing of documentation on to people systems

  • Supporting with absence monitoring and staff turnover

  • To ensure the flow of relevant information to central office departments as required.

  • Completion of purchase orders for HR invoices

  • Preparation and distribution of identity badges

  • Assist HR Business Partners and Advisors in the administration of employee relations matters, for example note taking in meetings

  • Assist the team in HR related projects

  • General administration including organising meetings and events, preparing papers, photocopying, scanning, occasional minute taking and answering the telephone

You will be passionate about people, be inquisitive and curious, have great IT skills and have the energy to learn new skills. Experience of working within a HR or Recruitment department is advantageous but not essential.


This is a fast paced, ever-changing role which requires tenacity and resilience. You will be able to work independently but also be able to work as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.

Previous experience of working in HR is not essential, however Administration experience is.
