HR Administrator

We have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Administrator to join an independent company in Newton Abbot.



JOB TITLE: HR Administrator


LOCATION: Newton Abbot


HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday


SALARY: £25, 000 per annum


BENEFITS: 20 days holiday increasing with service, pension scheme, friendly team



THE COMPANY AND ROLE: Our client is an independent specialist healthcare company whose continued growth has led to the need for a dedicated HR administrator to join their team. You will support hiring managers with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff, as well as looking after current employees' records, training programmes and holiday. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:



  • Assisting hiring mangers with the recruitment process from advertising new roles to inducting new starters

  • Maintaining job descriptions and posting job adverts

  • Onboarding new employees, ensuring all paperwork is prepared and completed in a timely manner including offers of employment and contracts

  • Completing pre-employment checks and references

  • Ensuring new starter packs and IT equipment are organised in a timely fashion

  • Completing new starter inductions

  • Liaising with recruitment agencies

  • Maintaining and updating appraisals and performance / training plans

  • Ensuring fire and health and safety documents / training are up to date

  • Managing staff holiday ensuring this is recorded accurately on the system

  • Assisting with the planning and organisation of corporate social events

  • General admin



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Excellent organisation and admin skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied and demanding workload

  • Approachable with strong people skills

  • Excellent communicator

  • Strong computer skills
