£11.33 per hour

Manchester City Centre

Monday - Friday, 36 hours per week

Hybrid Working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

Temporary ongoing (guaranteed until March 2023)

Office Angels are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator to join a prestigious public-sector organisation. Our client is seeking someone to provide high-quality, efficient, and effective administration support to its HR department. This role will be guaranteed until March 2023 on a temporary basis but do have the potential for extension, or you can apply for permanent opportunities within this organisation.

This position will be a mixture of office and home-working, and full IT equipment will be provided. The office is very centrally located with access to all public transport links and local amenities.

Working days are Monday - Friday and shifts will be between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm (8am-4pm OR 9am-5pm OR 10am-6pm).

These roles are due to start imminently, therefore you must be available to start at relatively short notice. Successful candidates are subject to a 3-year reference clearance and a DBS check; therefore, you must be able to provide a full reference history and up-to-date proofs of address/identification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic administrative support to the HR department.

  • Supporting the full recruitment process of prospective candidates, from advertising vacancies on the website right through to the onboarding process.

  • Carrying out pre-employment checks for new starters (e.g., Right to Work checks, criminal record checks, referencing)

  • Supporting the administration of current employees, for instance during transfers or secondments.

  • Analyse and manage data to update the online systems.

  • Manage own workload to ensure that all actions are completed in time.

  • Handle enquiries via telephone, post, face-to-face or email and ensure that they are responded to efficiently and effectively.

  • Liaise with the HR department, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

  • Any ad-hoc duties as required.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to provide high-quality administrative support in an extremely busy environment.

  • Ability to use own initiative to manage own workload and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent understanding of the importance to adhere to strict policies and procedures.

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

  • Excellent communicator of English, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Demonstrable ability to provide faultless customer service.

  • Innovative and good problem-solver.
