Job Role: Helpdesk IT Support Advisor


Pay Rate: £13.51 per hour


Duration: Temporary until 3 months (with possible extension)


Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm


Start date: 6th February 2023



Office Angels are working closely with a Local Authority based in Wolverhampton that are looking for an experienced Helpdesk IT Support Advisor. The suitable candidate will provide first and second line Digital & IT support to the Service Support Team.



Duties will include:




  • To be a point of contact and to provide advice and support on all Digital & IT systems that CoWC support. Including Desktop, Laptop/Tablet, Mobile, Telephone

  • Making sure that customers have the equipment, software and services they require and that it is working correctly.

  • Support with the creation and maintenance of windows deployments and application packages.

  • Keep all internal Digital & IT systems up to date; e.g. ICT Assets and Licences, Service Catalogue.

  • To assist with trend analysis of Digital & IT support stats and escalate problems to the Service Support Manager.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and queries.

  • To assist in Route Cause Analysis to identify and resolve identified Problems.

  • Ensuring timely resolution of requests and incidents in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA).

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of IT training and product demonstrations / workshops where required.

  • Monitor progress of request and problems, providing the customer with feedback and updated information regarding the progress of the job.

  • Assist the Digital & IT Service Desk where required to provide 1st line support to customers.

  • Manage customers' expectations and experience in a way that results in high customer satisfaction

  • Assist in the promotion of best practice of Digital & IT policies and procedures.



Skills / Experience required:



  • SQL Experience (Essential)

  • Experience of providing technical IT Support

  • Good communication skills

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Ability to resolve computer-related issues
