JOB TITLE: General Manager - Family Run Manufacturing Business!

SALARY: £35,000 - Could be negotiable for the right applicant!

LOCATION: Keighley - Free Car Parking on Site!

The company: A well-established, successful family run business in the Manufacturing industry with over 100 years of experience. You will be joining a company that is proud of their quality products!

Overview of the role: Reporting into Operations Manager and provide support to a team of internal sales, after sales, warehouse administrative staff and after sales engineers.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong hands-on experience within the above areas and have a good understanding of business processes. Willing to be hands on when required, you will bring an organised nature with the foresight to see potential issues and to advance plan accordingly. You must be results orientated and passionate about all areas of internal operations.

Duties will include:

  • Control the day to day running of the departments to make sure they:

o Have enough resource to complete the daily workloads

o Have a plan to attack all incoming work

o Are performing to the highest standards dictated by the business

  • Working with the Operations Manager to implement new processes as required

  • Being a key communicator within the business to advise on what is happening day to day

  • Come up with quick resolutions to issues that can negatively impact the teams during a working day

  • General staff supervision including motivating, managing holidays, sickness and setting and maintaining KPI's, Appraisals etc.

  • Deal with staffing issues and any recruitment required

  • Capture Data and measure the performance of the departments

  • Look for areas of weakness in a team and come up with ideas on how to improve

  • Working with the team leads to promote and carry out any training requirements that may be needed.

  • When necessary, personally dealing with customers, processing orders, up selling etc.

  • Oversee the purchasing of standard items and equipment required to keep the teams working.

  • Creating a positive culture within the teams

  • Liaising with the National Sales Team

  • Driving the business forward
