French Speaking Finance Assistant- based in Southampton.


Duties include:



  • Fluent in written and spoken English and French

  • AAT Qualified or studying CIMA

  • Post Cash Receipts & DD payment (GBP, USD, EURO)

  • Bank Reconciliation (GBP, USD, EURO)

  • Chasing debt, issue statements, reminder letters, emails, telephone calls, solve queries on invoices, CCJ claims & write off.

  • Customer order release in ERP system

  • Chase up Proforma payment

  • Set up New customer accounts - Assess credit worthiness & general account updates.

  • Customer Invoicing & Credit Notes (RMA, Rebate, Freight etc)

  • Expenses - Complete monthly expenses on Concur s/w system & enter to payment on to ERP system. Purchase Ledger -Invoice entry - Nominal code & purchase order matching -GRNI Report- Invoice approval records -Statement reconciliation - request copies etc - By-weekly payment runs - Proforma payments - Set up new supplier accounts Journals - Monthly Prepayment, Expenses Accrual, Rebates Accrual, Deprecation.

  • Fixed Assets Register

  • Update and reconcile to TB - New purchases, Disposals, Deprecation VAT

  • Complete quarterly VAT returns using MTD

  • Complete monthly French VAT returns Month End

  • Ledger reconciliation, allocations, queries

  • Reports - Warranty Report, New account opening, Bad debt & Balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Assist with P & L, Balance sheet for Management Accounts pack. Ad hoc Projects

  • Assist with Stock Take, Audit, Process Checks, HMRC P11D, Costings, FX update. Team Work

  • Carry out shared duties such as filing, post etc

  • Support your colleagues by proactively sharing workload during busy times.

  • Contribute ideas and foster a cooperative, flexible team working environment

  • Provide language support to other departments as required General Office Duties

  • Welcome visitors to the office in a professional and friend manner, take phone message for other departments
