Fleet Support Officer

Our client, a Glasgow based logistics company, are looking for a Fleet Support Officer to join their team. The role is based towards the West end of Glasgow City Centre (nearest train station is Anderston).

Salary - £27,000-34,000K depending on relevant experience

The successful candidate will have previous experience within fleet management, logistics or document control.

Duties: -  

* Work closely with stakeholders to enhance operational performance. 
* Liaising with management to undertake staff performance reviews 
* Drive cost leadership within the fleet team. 
* Participate in budget management and quarter-end preparation. 
* Support operations processes
* Procurement including quotation, purchasing, delivery and invoicing
* Coordinate servicing requirements including scheduled, un-scheduled and items landed for repair.  
* Participate in the development, maintenance and tracking of the yearly plans that include upgrades, projects, and long-term asset management. 
* Document control for fleet team.
* Adhere to and assist in all compliance procedures and verification protocol. 
* Pro-actively engage in continuous improvement process, providing regular feedback to line manager. 
* Drive best practices within the FSO role and ensure alignment throughout fleet teams.  

Skills required: - 

* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft office suite  
* Previous experience of having worked in the shipping/logistics industry
* Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
