Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Full-time 37.5 hours a week ((Office Based)

Our client, family run buisness, is looking to recruit Financial Controller to join their team on a full-time basis with the primary responsibility to manage and oversee the finance team and control all financial aspects of the Company. The successful applicant will be a time served, confident individual with high attention to detail, good communication skills, proficient with Excel and organised.


The role:



  • Financial reporting and statutory accounting for the Group

  • Assist with the financial aspects of company strategy, figures and implement recommendations based on these findings with the most profitable outcomes

  • Agree the annual financial budget in consultation with the CEO and the SMT, reporting on the company's financial performance against the budget whilst, taking into accountancy legalities, interest payments, company insurances

  • Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems

  • Overall responsibility for the firm's compliance to financial standards

  • Work with the executive team to develop the Corporate Planning / Development for providing financial information

  • Take responsibility for the financial planning and reporting of performance for the Group

  • Taxation/VAT calculation and payments

  • Budget management of the Group

  • Assist & provide guidance in preparation of family/personal financial accounts

  • Capital expenditure - evaluation and preparation of submissions

  • Implement effective means of appropriate financial measurements & controls



To be successful in this role, you will:



  • Methodical working practices

  • Analytical with the ability to pick up and question anomalies

  • Forward thinking and able to use own initiative

  • ACCA or equivalent

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong team attributes required


In return you will be entitled to:



  • Salary £50,000 - £55,000
