This successful and growing manufacturer has a brand new opportunity has to join their Finance team as a Financial Accountant.


This role will allow you to sink your teeth into an incredibly successful business and get involved in all aspects of finance for the company. The role is split into to halves..


Supporting a personable and professional Finance Director with the following tasks:



  • Preparation of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement

  • Reconciling and reviewing Balance Sheet Control Accounts

  • Calculating and processing monthly adjustments and processing of journals

  • Reviewing of monthly stock balances and adjustments with a view to feedback and improve processes

  • Monthly sales reporting

  • Ad-hoc reporting and data analysis in areas such a stock and margins

  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and monthly processing of depreciation.

  • Assisting, feeding, guiding, testing, supporting the implementation to SAP B1

  • Drafting the financial statements and preparing information for the auditors


Supporting the wider accounts team:



  • Month end sales, purchase and nominal shut downs

  • Help supervise apprentice

  • Complete VAT and Intrastat submissions

  • Support with sales invoicing, and receipts posting

  • Support with purchase ledger processing of invoices

  • Support with processing payments and bank reconciliations


YOU


Ideally you will be qualified AAT Level 4, training towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA or strong QBE.


Either practice trained, working with manufacturing companies or experienced in a commercial setting. Fully conversant with financial accounting and able to be fully hands on within the accounts team.


Good IT skills - Proven and demonstrable expert level in Excel. Very IT oriented, experienced with downloads/exports and able to see automated solutions.


Experience of IT ERP implementation would be a distinct advantage as the company is moving to a SAP B1 ERP system.


Naturally you will be well organised and process driven and able to develop effective ways of working along with being self-motivated and able to work independently.
