£16 per hour

30 hours per week - full time hours also possible

Must be available immediately

My client, a successful consultancy company in Chelmsford, is looking for a Finance Manager on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and stable company who really invests in their employees.

Duties:

• Completing monthly payroll, management accounts and year end


• Reconciling Commission Statements from providers against bank statement & distributing correct amount to advisers


• Reconciling IO and closing month end


• Paying incoming invoices


• Chasing overdue commission


• Paying monthly adviser pay runs


• Inputting accounts onto Sage


• Managing petty cash & cheque book


• Weekly sending compliance files to be checked


• Sending returned files to advisers for remedial work if required


• Scanning any remedial work onto files


• Updating Compliance record and assisting the Compliance Officer


• Chasing advisers for compliance files that require any remedial works


• Occasionally assisting with managing 2 x buy to let properties


• Complete any HR letters, contracts, and checks on new staff

Experience and skills required:

• Previous management accounts experience


• AAT level 2 + is essential


• Previous use of Sage 50 is essential


• Payroll experience is essential


• Accuracy & attention to detail


• Excellent numeracy


• Computer literate


• Polite and confident telephone manner


• Flexibility


• Absolute discretion
