Office Angels Livingston are collaborating exclusively with a highly successful business who are actively seeking a Finance Assistant for a 9-11 month maternity cover. This role is based in Livingston and salary circa £25,000 depending on experience. The role is fully office based and working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.


Role Overview


As Office and Finance Assistant you will bring hands-on expertise to the company support a small but friendly team within this thriving organisation. This position is an important support role within the business and everyone within the company work as a team. You will assume responsibility for all finance processing and provide a seamless service to the business whilst dealing with contractors, suppliers, clients whilst acting as a main point of contact for the business. You will have a great knowledge of general accounts, reconciliations and accruals will be second nature to you!


Duties include:



  • Processing of Sales Invoices and PO's

  • Reconciliation of payroll and nominal ledgers

  • Reconciliation of statements

  • Debits and credits

  • Accruals

  • Pre-payments

  • Petty Cash


Skills and Experience required:



  • Proven, demonstratable experience in a similar role

  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Highly competent using MS Excel

  • Competent and experienced in using Finance software ideally Exchequer or similar

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail ability

  • Be able to work under pressure and have excellent time management skills
