Office Angels Livingston are collaborating exclusively with a fast paced and innovative team for a Finance Assistant. The role is perfect for someone who has proven experience in a similar role looking for future progression. Based in Livingston West Lothian, you will be office-based Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. Salary is up to £25,000 depending on experience.


Role Overview


Personality fit, with the ability to communicate and work at pace are key qualities to succeed in the role. The role has a strong sales ledger and credit control focus and is an all-round generalist finance role.


Duties & responsibilities to include:



  • Supporting the Assistant Financial Controller in the day-to-day running of the finance department.

  • Daily management of invoices including audit of purchase and raising of sales invoices, along with correct support paperwork

  • Supplier management - payments, reconciliations and chasing outstanding invoices

  • Debt chasing

  • Credit card posting

  • Working closely with the customer relationship team to provide financial support and Operational Reports to clients and suppliers.

  • Monthly cash flow projection

  • Taking an active involvement in identifying and implementing initiatives, which support the efficient operation of the business

  • Supplier Management

  • Debt Chasing

  • Achieve ledger close-down and sales invoice month end

  • Accurate client reporting

  • Working as part of an efficient team


Skills and Experience required:



  • Previous experience within a Finance Department

  • Ability to work accurately at pace and to deadlines

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Commitment to new ideas and processes
