We have an exciting opportunity for a brand new client for an experienced Finance Assistant to work for a reputable company based in Leicester working as part of a small established team with the support of a Manager for training To Support the finance department to meet deadlines and to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner.


As the Finance Assistant your working hours are Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm working a 37.5 hours a week


The main duties of the Finance Assistant will be:


Processing supplier invoices (Three way matching)


Allocating payments


Dealing with supplier & purchase order queries


Processing payment runs


Posting sales invoices and raising customer credits


Allocating Customer receipts


Credit control


Entering expenses and payments


Entering receipts


Reconciling the cashbook to bank statement


Prepare the payroll data


Submit the payroll to strict deadlines (via the flexi-form)


Resolve submission queries


Support the assistant accountant to ensure timely close of month end



To be successful as the Finance Assistant we are looking for the following


Attention to detail


Efficient and accurate


Methodical


Good communication skills


Payroll experience would be ideal not essential


Preferably studying for an accountancy qualification
