JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant

COMPANY: Financial Services

HOURS: 09.00am-17.00pm

SALARY: £28,000-£30,000* Depending on experience

LOCATION: City of London - Cannon Street

  • Accounts payable - processing/payment of supplier invoices and payments on behalf of other BTIG entities

  • Accounts receivable - raising/processing of sales invoices (options and research)

  • Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts

  • Month-end clearer reconciliation

  • Month-end transfer pricing - creation/posting/settlement for other BTIG entities

  • Month-end inter-company reconciliations for other BTIG entities

  • Aged debtors - chasing 3rd parties for payment

  • Corporate credit cards - processing of transactions

  • Travel & entertainment expenses - Coupa processing and training for new hires/payments to employees/client entertainment reporting

  • Stamp and Financial Transaction Tax reporting and payments

  • RCA/CSA - soft related payments/sweeps and reconciliation

  • Provide some office management cover when required (limited)


  • Strong education levels - open to graduate or non-graduate

  • Professional with relevant, transferable skills and possessing substantial experience as a Finance Assistant within a Finance department would be beneficial

  • Good understanding of accounting principles, processes, and procedures

  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • A team player with the ability to work under their own initiative and pressure but to know when to ask for help

  • Demonstratable willingness and appetite to learn new skills and systems

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent attention to detail, and good communication and interpersonal skills
