Finance Administrator - Glasgow City Centre

Our client has an enviable reputation in the field of events management and they are currently looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Finance Administrator to join them in their new Glasgow City Centre office!

Hours of work are flexible, and our client will consider both full & part time hours for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be solutions focused and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You will be motivated, eager to learn, have a strong work ethic and be keen to get involved in the success of the business.

Duties: -

  • Processing payments

  • Reconcile supplier statements

  • Ensure that all invoices are processed and approved timeously

  • Issue remittance advice to suppliers

  • Produce reports including payment, credit control and aged creditors

  • Prepare direct debit payments for processing

  • Reconcile petty cash payments and online receipts

  • Taking customer details over the phone and discussing the options within the budget

  • Processing expenses & handling customer budgets/invoices

  • Customer database management

  • Continuously providing a high level of customer service and quickly diffusing any situations which may arise

  • E-mail management and replying to any queries quickly

Key Skills/attributes: -

  • Proficient in Sage

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: - specifically Outlook and Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong numerical literacy

  • Flexible and adaptable to change

  • Ability to make decisions and solve any issues that may arise

  • Previous experience of working at a senior level

The salary for this role is £22-25K and will on your previous experience and whether you work full or part-time.

In this role you will need to be able to think on your feet and therefore it is crucial that you are able to work under pressure calmly and be able to build strong relationships whilst always maintaining discretion.
