Facilities Co-ordinator (4 Month FTC - immediate start)

JOB TITLE: Facilities Co-ordinator (4 Month FTC initially with a view to extending- immediate start available)


LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset


SALARY: £24,000- £28,000 dependant on experience, pro rata


HOURS: 40 hours per week

THE ROLE: To provide every person entering the venue and any other venue that may be utilised from time to time, with the opportunity to have a safe and enjoyable experience by ensuring that the infrastructure and facilities are maintained to a suitable standard and the relevant safety policies and procedures are implemented.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The coordination of the facilities provision and maintenance requirements. Daily duties to include:



  • Overseeing and coordinating day to day operational aspects

  • Managing the maintenance of the facilities and facilitating access for contractors undertaking works as required.

  • Working in collaboration with in house teams, negotiating, reviewing and implementing supplier agreements including for cleaning, waste management etc.

  • Planning, monitoring and managing all works undertaken by external contractors.

  • Liaising with external contacts and maintaining high levels of communication

  • Organising relevant accreditation

  • Ensuring the implementation, monitoring and review of all operating procedures


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


Essential



  • Experience of operational delivery in a venue.

  • Been part of a team responsible for delivering events.


Desirable



  • Operational experience gained in an entertainment or sporting environment.

  • Working towards Event Safety and/or Health and Safety qualifications.

  • Management of people and key relationships.

  • Negotiated and implemented supplier agreements.


Skills:



  • Highly organised

  • I.T literature with experience of Microsoft Office

  • Supplier communication and relationship management
