JOB TITLE: Events Administrator


LOCATION: Taunton, Somerset


SALARY: £19,800 PA


HOURS: 40 hours per week, to include evenings and weekends to cover key events.

THE ROLE: A varied and interesting administrative and customer care based position where you will be responsible for liaising with clients and coordinating everything surrounding their booking / event. You will be responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently liaising both internally and externally to achieve this.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Processing hospitality enquiries and bookings and maintaining contact with the booker throughout.

  • Contacting event members for pre-orders of food and drink.

  • Sending out tickets/hospitality packs/itineraries to clients.

  • Establishing pre-orders/dietaries for clients upselling where possible to drive revenue - for example, on food and drink packages available.

  • Creating and updating function sheets to share with the Catering and Events operations team.

  • Creating lists of hospitality clients (along with numbers in each area) for internal teams.

  • Responding to enquiries and establishing the requirements for each event for the Sales team to develop a proposal.

  • Attending events to support the Commercial team and to ensure the hospitality clients are looked after.

  • Monitor the enquiries inbox for hospitality, commercial and event enquiries.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Previous experience in an administrative and customer focused role with strong customer service focus.

  • A positive, professional, helpful and proactive attitude.

  • Ability to build and maintain excellent rapport with customers (internal and external) both over the telephone and face to face….the ability to upsell is desirable.

  • Excellent written, oral communication and literacy skills.

  • Use of Microsoft Office software and email.

  • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and effectively meet deadlines.
