Entry Level Property Job - Negotiator & Property Admin

We are working on a great opportunity with a long standing and brilliant client of ours


This is a chance to learn about Lettings Negotiations and Property Management in a private organisation (not cutthroat and long hours like an estate agency!) in a friendly team.


You will be helping tenants to find the right property and supporting them through the whole process.


All of the properties owned by this company and nice and high end. A Full Driving License is required

JOB TITLE: Entry Level Lettings and Property Manager


JOB TYPE: Permanent


SALARY: £20,000-£23,000 depending on experience


COMPANY TYPE: Private Property Company (they own all their properties this means)


HOURS: 8:30-5:30 Monday to Friday


LOCATION: Islington


CULTURE: Friendly and social atmosphere, working in a small close-knit team



WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



  • You are a great people person and communicator

  • You are self-motivated and very keen to learn.

  • You are well presented and undertake all duties with honesty, integrity and trustworthiness

  • 5 GCSE A* to C grades or equivalent.

  • Full Driving License (Required)

  • Experience in business administration or any office, and an interest in the Private Residential letting market.

  • Computer literate: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Database systems



DUTIES:


You will be helping tenants find the right property; support them during the rental process from negotiation, progressing a tenancy until the final move-in day - offering assistance as required, during the tenancy period.


Main duties


Whilst the role is office based it will include travel in and around London (occasionally outer


regions) with the following primary responsibilities:



  • Answering calls and handling enquiries generated via phone/email.

  • Daily management of applicants

  • Arranging and attending viewings

  • Negotiating offers

  • Carrying out pre-tenancy checks

  • Overseeing your own tenant referencing & right to rent checks

  • Meeting incoming & outgoing tenants for check-in/check out

  • Using internal systems and databases

  • Liaising directly with external contractors

  • Instructing repairs as necessary.
