Job Title: Student Support Team Leader

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £25-28,000 per annum

Working Hours: Mon-Fri 37 hours per week

Start date: ASAP

As a Student Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for the end-to-end support of students and the support services which is a team of three.

You will be working proactively in collaboration with other members of management and your colleagues to ensure the highest levels of support is provided to students.

Main Responsibilities:

� Welcoming new students, building rapport and supporting them through induction and transition to study.

� Providing support, signposting students to other sources of support, as necessary.

� Liaising with tutors to ensure a coordinated approach to the support available to students.

� Using internal systems to handle student data, maintaining accurate records and, where applicable, ensuring that these accord with those kept by the university/awarding body partners.

� Working alongside the Senior Management and Enrolment team

� Liaison with student support team, external bodies and other key contacts from different departments across the university

� Acting as first point of call for day to day staff welfare issues (e.g. sickness)

� Recognise areas of development and improvement

� Regular monitoring and reporting to management

� Undertaking other duties as may be required in the post as determined by the Manager / Head of Centre

Essential Experience:

� Educated to degree level

. Managerial experience is necessary

� An understanding of Higher Education

� Experience within Education would be an advantage
