COMPANY: Community Secondary School


HOURS: Full-Time - 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday 35 hours per week, Term Time + 3 additional weeks

Office Angels Bromley are looking for an experienced, reliable, flexible, highly organised and motivated individual to provide SEND administration support within a Secondary School with a specialist SENDCO department.


The Role


You will be working in a busy environment and should enjoy working as part of a team. The succesful candidate will be expected to undertake a wide range of SEND administrative support to the SENDCO. You will be required to interact with staff at all levels as well as children, parents and visitors to the school. Applicants should possess excellent IT skills, a pleasant telephone manner, be self-motivated and able to multi-task. A high standard of written and spoken English is required. You will have experience of supporting a SENDCO department.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



  • To provide administrative support to the SENDCO

  • To be responsible for the reporting and continual monitoring of all medical incidents and accidents and ensuring that remedial measures are put into place where necessary

  • To be responsible for the maintenance of the defibrillators and the stock of medical supplies and student and spare medication

  • To liaise with the Health & Safety Officer in respect of Health & Safety matters.

  • To assist with intimate care where necessary

  • To manage staff and student health care programmes to include vaccinations and healthcare checks.

  • To be responsible for the administration of recording and reporting of medical issues.


Key Skills:



  • Previous experience as a SEND Administrator within a school or education setting

  • Experience of using a school management information system

  • Previous office and administrative experience

  • Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and lCT skills

  • Work methodically, with a very good attention to detail

  • Effective decision making

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work without close supervision

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm during busy periods
