JOB TITLE: Dispatch Operative
LOCATION: Wellington, Somerset
SALARY: £23,712 PA
HOURS: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours, no shifts and paid breaks!)

THE ROLE: As the Dispatch Operator you will play a crucial role in the production process, helping to create and dispatch print products to a wide range of businesses. This is a varied role that will involve the use of technology to produce documents ensuring they are delivered on time and meet customers' expectations. You will be based in a friendly and sociable team dedicated to providing customers with high levels of quality and support.
KEY DUTIES:
- Working as part of a larger production team to ensure scheduled jobs are completed in good time so that customer deadlines can be met.
- Once trained, you will enjoy working unsupervised and will take responsibility of productive output and serviceability of your machine.
- You will read and follow information on a job ticket so that the customer receives what they have asked for every time.
- You will ensure that all relevant quality checks and measures are followed to a high standard for every job.
- Ensuring customers receive quality products, to their specifications and on-time.
- Carrying out quality control checks, the efficient finishing and packing of the scheduled work and communicating with customers on the delivery status of their order.
- Supporting other departments to ensure that they have the correct stock and tools required.
- Handling goods in, managing stock levels and restocking areas as required.
- Ensuring waste is disposed of in the correct manner and recording the weekly waste collection.
THE CANDIDATE:
- Manufacturing experience preferable - you will be operating manufacturing machinery so will ideally be familiar with this environment.
- A logical, problem solving attitude - an aptitude for setting, operating and maintaining technical machinery.
- Confident communicator - working in a small team environment you will work well in a team environment.
- Keen eye for detail - you will be able to successfully quality check your work and spot any discrepancies to rectify.
