Our client has a new & exciting opportunity for a Director of Reward looking to take the next step in their career. In this role you will be responsible for leading on reward policy design and implementation. This role is a standalone global role, and they are looking for someone from a Technology, Engineering, and/or start-up background to lead this crucial function of the business.

SALARY: £100,000 - £120,000 (salary is flexible and dependant on candidate experience - they want the right person for the role!)

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:



  • Work in partnership with business partners to build a fair and competitive compensation offering as part of the reward strategy - the goal is to recruit and retain the best talent

  • Collaborate with business leaders on people initiatives including EVP and D&I strategies

  • Run and own the reward reporting including the UK Gender Pay Gap - present reports to leadership team and develop a strategy to support continuous improvement

  • Oversee, manage, and lead on key compensation activities (salary survey submission, annual pay and bonus process, equity)

  • Lead on key reward initiatives including salary bandings and the development and implementation of an equity plan for all employees

  • Own the development of reward education and take the lead in educating our HR business partners and leaders

  • Manage and build relationships with key external vendors and consultants in both compensation and benefit areas - ensure the business is competitive and staying current on reward trends

  • Design, model and track compensation and bonus budgets globally and collaborate with finance to ensure alignment and planning for the year/ project ahead

  • Reward policy design and implementation

  • Lead on the preparation of Remuneration Committee meetings (agenda, pre-read) as well as the design of the annual bonus scorecard

  • Support the business with setting sales incentive targets, ensuring plan rules are understood and manage the calculation and payment processes

  • Manage global benefits in partnership with our service providers and enhance or implement changes as and when needed

  • Manage well-being offering and find ways to continuously support employees in this area


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:




  • Willingness to participate as a standalone role with a "roll your sleeves up" approach

  • Senior level experience in reward, ideally in a leadership capacity, in a fast-paced environment. Ideally within the tech, telecom, engineering, start up or fintech sectors

  • Global reward experience, particularly setting up new reward frameworks including benefit programmes

  • Excellent analytical skills and skilled in Excel (build spreadsheets, reports)

  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data and present this in a clear and concise manner

  • Comfortable designing, tailoring and delivering communications of reward frameworks to different departments and levels of seniority

  • Experience working with senior partners across a range of compensation related topics, especially executive and sales compensation

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Experience in preparing for and participating in remuneration committees would be advantageous
