We are recruiting for a Customer Service Adviser this is not a call centre, we are looking for someone with a empathetic helpful nature who can genuinely talk to customers offering a resolution as these customers will need you to put together a plan after carefully assessing there financial well-being. This role is based in LE1 in the City Centre working a 35 hour week


As the Customer Service Adviser you will work as part of a small team in an open plan relaxed office, you will receive support from the team and training from your Line Manager


As the Customer Service Adviser your day will look like this



  • Assisting Members with Payment Issues: Help members who have fallen behind on payments to restart their regular agreed payments or establish manageable payment plans. This includes following up on late payments, from early nonpayment through to late-stage arrears.

  • Proactive Account Management: Take a proactive approach to manage problem accounts, aiming to prevent members from entering late payment stages.

  • Detailed Documentation: Maintain clear and concise records of all actions taken and letters sent. Thorough documentation is essential for ensuring legal compliance and tracking the collections process.

  • Multichannel Communication: Contact members via phone, email, letters, and online accounts. Ensure timely communication and adherence to current regulations when sending documents and information.

  • Empathetic Support: Show sensitivity and understanding of members' financial situations to help them effectively manage their payments.

  • Account Investigation: Gather essential information about members who have fallen into arrears, including their financial status, contact information, and reasons for nonpayment. Utilise our in-house systems to trace and locate members who may have relocated.

  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of disputes, collaborate with different areas of the business to resolve issues amicably.



For this role as Customer Service Adviser we aren't looking for experience but someone who really wants to help
