Our Wilmslow-based client - a successful e-commerce company- is looking for a Customer Service Manager to oversee a team of staff. The role will be varied and fast-paced but highly rewarding, as you will be able to deal with extremely high-profile clients and see your efforts come to fruition.


Responsibilities will include:



  • Management of a medium-sized team of customer service staff who are taking a volume of daily calls alongside balancing order inputting tasks

  • Developing processes to ensure that the highest level of service is provided at all times, as well as calls being answered in a timely manner

  • Dealing with administrative queries such as the management of faulty stock, shipping errors, complaints etc - delegating where necessary, but taking ownership when needed

  • Planning for social media postings and distributing team resources to make sure that these channels are manned at all times

  • Holding meetings with team members to ensure that they are happy, empowered and have the skills needed to do their jobs well.

  • Managing the customer feedback process - ensuring that team members encourage customers to complete, and picking up and good/back feedback to action as applicable

  • Playing an active role in the general day to day activities of the team


We are looking for someone with the following:



  • Demonstrable experience in managing and developing a team within an e-commerce environment

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to suggest positive to solutions to problems

  • Experience implementing new processes and systems

  • Knowledge of shipping processes and lead times

  • Experience managing social media-based customer service

  • Able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction

Hours: 9:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. Occasionally you may need to stay a little longer to account for business needs or deadlines. This will be reasonable and not excessive.


Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on skills
