Job Title: Credit Control Assistant

Location: Folkestone

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm and Friday, 9am - 4.30pm

Key responsibilities:

  • Allocating to Sales Ledger of payments received from clients by both cheque and electronic payment & Reconciliation of customer accounts.

  • Recording of cheques received and preparation of documentation relating to banking of cheques.

  • Obtaining customer credit and debit notes.

  • Responding to queries concerning Accounts Receivable.

  • Issuing Monthly customer Statements.

  • Producing credit notes and invoices relating to items other than sale of goods.

  • Chasing debt via telephone or email.

  • Assisting in the preparation of schedule of Promotional Accruals.

  • Assisting in the Cover for Credit Control Manager when they are absent from office.

  • Reconciling of customer cash discounts.

  • Assisting in credit limit and credit term changes when required.

  • General filing of correspondence.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of working in a finance environment.

  • Experience using MS Word and MS Excel.

  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not essential.
