This is a key position within a small marketing team with a focus on copywriting, public relations and the production and delivery of a wide range of marketing and communications content.


The vision for this role is to turn the organisation into a prolific publisher of high quality and targeted marketing communications to raise the profile, generate leads and support the delivery of business objectives.



Duties will include:




  • Public Relations: Planning PR campaigns and strategies.

  • Managing day-to-day PR activities and media relations.

  • Copy writing: Writing and editing documents such as leaflets, guides, reports, press releases, speeches, newsletters, web content and social media.

  • Interviews: Interviewing customers, staff and sector professionals and incorporating the output in blog posts and similar.

  • Social media: Management of social media accounts including creating engaging content and responding to all customer posts.

  • Partnerships, sponsorships, and influencers: Maintain and build a network of partnerships and relationships with social sector influencers and other relevant parties to support our marketing goals.

  • Events: Support the planning and execution of stakeholder events.

  • Support the Marketing Executive with our national and regional events programme.

  • Research: Conducting and commissioning market research via Survey Monkey and third parties. Using findings for promotional purposes and service improvements.

  • Awards: Suggest and produce content to enter agreed awards.

  • Video and photography: Filming interviews and basic editing and promotion of content (training provided).

  • Design: Basic Photoshop and InDesign to be completed inhouse (training provided) and coordinating with external designers for larger jobs.



Naturally you will have experience writing/producing content, editing and proof-reading material to an excellent standard, ensuring consistency and compliance with key communications messages, regulatory requirements, quality standards and branding.
