Job Title: Property Surveyor/Valuer

Location: Wimbledon

Salary: Up to £50k pa

Our client based in central Wimbledon is looking for an experienced Property Surveyor/Valuer to join their busy, fun and professional team. You will be carrying out survey and valuation work for UK Banks and Building Societies, along with Red Book Valuations for the purposes of probate, taxation and matrimonial. You will also carry out homebuyer reports and building surveys for private clients.

Key Accountabilities

  • Producing accurate and high quality valuation reports to our lender and private clients

  • Observing the company's policies and procedures including those relating to Quality Assurance, Health & Safety

  • Having a good market knowledge and to keep up to date with market changes

  • Observing RICS regulatory requirements and to be aware of any changes, including those in respect of the Red Book

Skills, experience and attributes required:

  • Experienced surveyor with a thorough knowledge of building pathology, lender guidance and expectations

  • RICS qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS) or AssocRICS Surveyor

  • RICS registered Valuer

  • Able to drive in the UK without restriction or limitation

  • Self-motivated and capable of taking the initiative and working effectively without supervision

  • Clear and concise communication skills - face to face, email, written and telephone

  • Good understanding of the London and South East Property Markets and the influences that affect them

  • Good IT skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

  • Has credibility and presence, is an excellent relationship builder both internally and externally, wins trust quickly and maintains it

  • An effective team player who will work 'hands on' where necessary to ensure the business achieves its objectives.
