Job Title: Company Secretary

Location: Folkestone - The offices are moving to Ashford next year

Salary: £35k-£40k

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, alongside the Managing Director

As the Company Secretary your duties would be:

  • Supporting a Managing Director of a group who owns two subsidiaries based in Kent and France

  • FCA compliance

  • Company policy reporting

  • Task scheduling

  • Admin support

  • Minute taking and holding meetings when the Managing Director is unavailable

  • Ensuring structured meeting notes are in place and ensuring the team are held accountable to their responsibilities

  • Supporting the business with your experience to take the company to the next professional level

  • Monitoring and reporting on Environmental, Social and Governance

The Company Secretary position is ultimately to ensure that the company operates within all financial, legal and statutory regulations. As well as completing the administrative tasks with the Managing Director to attain the highest quality of reporting, governance, and document management.

Skills required:

  • A wealth of professional experience as a Company Secretary

  • Previous experience of Company governance

  • Experience working within a regulated company

  • Experience supporting a Managing Director with Admin tasks in areas of compliance such as IOSH, NEBOSH training or FCA compliance experience

  • Familiarity with all financial, legal, and statutory requirements of a company

  • A proactive, critical thinking approach is crucial

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • The ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Flexibility will be needed in this role for example occasionally staying late, or working from home to ensure the proper function of the company and that your responsibilities are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner
