Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

My client, a successful and well-established construction business based in Maldon is seeking an experienced Commercial Assistant to join their team.

General Office Duties:

  • Answering the phone and sorting out incoming enquiries

  • Filing of own documentation

  • Checking files are up to date and general self-review

  • Amending and updating controlled documents

  • Updating PO's and relevant logs when required

  • Knowing what to purchase for upcoming jobs and sorting the orders

  • Checking off invoices and chasing credits

  • Checking off delivery/collection notes, filing away and maintaining the delivery board

  • Breakdowns - tender returns

  • Valuations forecasting

  • Raising invoices

  • Chasing payments

  • Checking contracts

  • Dealing with clients

  • Attending commercial meetings

  • Final accounts

  • Issuing external contracts

  • Checking contracts

  • Logging for Option E contracts

  • Raising EWN's, CE's and QCE's

  • Updating and maintain the as-built register

  • Raise Non-Conformances

  • Assisting with PQQs

  • Creating New Controlled Documents as and when required using Excel

The ideal candidate:

  • Proficient IT User using MS Word and Excel

  • Quick learner

  • Well organised

  • Reliable & hardworking

  • Previous experience within the construction industry.

  • Work well in a team and be able to work on their own when required
