SALARY: £23,000- £27,000pa

One of Liverpool Street's favourite clients is an international eye care charity, growing rapidly and currently having raised up to £8m. They are passionate about preventing and treating blindness and visual impairment and so fundraise to help raise awareness and treat eye conditions.


They are looking for an Income & Database Officer to join their team to ensure that all income and donations for the charity are recorded. This is a pivotal role for the organisation and they need someone who has meticulous attention to detail, and that is incredibly focused. You'll be a confident communicator as continually liaising with various stakeholders, Head of Departments and supporters.


Within this role you'll be part of a small and dedicated team of two, working alongside the fundraising, support and finance department. This is the perfect role for someone who is an Excel wiz and a lover of data and numbers!


DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:



  • Communicate with the Fundraising, Programme Support and Finance departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of all income

  • Enter postal income including cheques, cash and credit card onto systems

  • Setup direct debits and process credit card donations online.

  • Manually enter all other income received into the bank accounts within two working days of receipt into the bank account

  • Ensure that the Fundraising teams are informed when donations are received

  • Respond in a timely manner to queries regarding income

  • Assist the Database and Insight Manager in reviewing and continuously improving the income processes

  • Respond to and update donors' contact and consent preferences, donation history on both an ad hoc and regular basis

  • Undertake regular maintenance, including identification and amendment of duplicate records, correction of data entry errors and checks of data validity against external sources in order to maintain a clean and highly accurate database


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:



  • Strong numeracy skills

  • Oral and written fluency in English, with outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to deadlines

  • Team oriented work style, with a pro-active, open-minded, and flexible approach

  • High degree of computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Experience of, or interest in, working in the charitable sector
